In no other business is the leader in the firing line quite as much as the small business owner. If you own your own small business you’ll know that you not only have to keep the customers happy but the staff too. Whether you like it or not your staff are watching your behaviour more than they’re listening to your words. And, when the pressure is on, it’s even more important for the small business owner to step outside, take a few deep breaths and then come back in with a smile, a confident clear direction and a consistent behaviour that builds credibility and peace of mind with both staff and customers.
Remember you are the business so what you portray says a lot about how your business is tackling the current pressures. Put your best foot forward and go show them how it’s done!
